Daniel Whyte III says Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church Should be commended for having the heart to want to help a disgraced and fallen preacher-brother up — Carl Lentz. But Whyte warns that helping him up in your young and up-and-coming church is not wise. Lentz is a big boy; if you want to help him, help him start his own church in another state or city under your watchful eye or preferably under the watchful eye of an older pastor. But to put Lentz in the midst of your up-and-coming church is like putting a snake in a playground. Remind Lentz of this verse from the Word of God: “YEA, SO HAVE I STRIVED TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, NOT WHERE CHRIST WAS NAMED, LEST I SHOULD BUILD UPON ANOTHER MAN’S FOUNDATION.”
Unless Lentz has changed dramatically, he has a disrespectful, sinister spirit that not only committed adulterous acts against his marriage vows to God and his wife several times, but he also has a parasitic spirit where he uses the superstructure of what a more gifted pastor has built and latches on like a parasite and rides that pastor to prominence. Then he begins to disrespect, dishonor, and undermine that pastor as he did Brian Houston of Hillsong Church. Besides that, his alpha male and charisma levels are comparable to yours, and since you are both close in age, that will not be a good fit. Lentz needs to be paired with a faithful, older man of God, a pastor, or a retired pastor to watch over him for you, who is about twenty-to-thirty years older than Lentz. Again be warned, he is the type of individual who rides the coattails of others to prominence like the devil does and then tries to take over. If he has not changed, he is incapable of submitting to authority. So, be careful, son. Be very careful. Whyte is not telling you anything a faithful, godly, biblical pastor in this country would not tell you.
On top of that, if by chance two super powerful celebrities who are in movies and television and or their celebrity pastor-friend contacted you and suggested that you hire Carl Lentz, and if they gave the church a large offering or offered to help pay his salary, you are in big trouble because right now even though you are shaky on the issue of sodomy-homosexuality in the church, you are not a sodomite-homosexual-affirming pastor who would marry practicing homosexuals or allow them as members in the church based on what you said recently, but you will be when this powerful group of celebrities and Carl Lentz get through with you.
Disgraced Hillsong NY Pastor Carl Lentz, ousted after he was caught cheating on his wife and engaging in multiple sexual indiscretions, has taken a staff position at the Oklahoma megachurch Transformation Church.
Transformation Church (TC.) is led by pastor Michael Todd, known for crowd surfing during his church’s worship service and spending a lot of money. In the last two years, he’s given away $3,500,000 in houses, cash, and cars, spent $65,000 to buy 168 pairs of shoes, gave $600,000 in “reparations,” and purchased $66,000,000 in real estate.
He’s also known for preaching some good old-fashioned Modalism, giving the world perhaps the grossest illustration in church after he snorted and then hocked a loogie full of spit and snot into his hand and rubbed it in another man’s face and claiming his church had 75k salvations in the last 18 months even though practically none of them stuck around.
Lentz has relocated his family to Oklahoma where he’s been attending. Lentz was previously operating a consulting and coaching business, which includes churches, but by and large, has been out of the public eye and off social media.
There is no indication yet if he will be on staff as a pastor or in another role.
